You make being friends well challenging..

So I got invited to a party saturday, good for me. And you know who's going to be at this party? Well an expert at giving hope and the tearing you down. The only expert that I no can make me life really hard. This expert likes to do the following, say you're friends and the never speak to you. Never reply to your texts, even when he isn't busy. When he does reply to your texts they make you feel like crap because its usually a one word response or something rude.
Why would I ever want to be friends with someone like that you ask? Well I'll tell you. It's because when he's happy its a miracle and when he smiles you can't help but smile because he is. He can make you feel beautiful and like you're a human being not some child. He seems to always be honest. If you call yourself annoying he'll agree if he thinks you are to.
Now back to this party. I ask him if it would be awkward if I was there. He reply's with I'll just leave you alone. Now what the heck is that suppose to mean? If we are friends it won't be awkward and I never asked if you'd leave me alone. Get a clue start answering the question asked, not some riddle thanks.
Now if mom says I can the only question is Should I stay or Should I go?
